All Pro Dad, OCPS ACE Chapter Spotlight

All Pro Dad, OCPS ACE Chapter is a program that encourages dads to be the best fathers they can be. All Pro Dad creates space for dads to have intentional and purposeful conversations with their children, and fellowship with other fathers. Using the All Pro Dad curriculum and literacy, dads that are a part of All Pro Dad receive practical fatherhood tips to take home, literature that can be used as tools to encourage closeness, and fatherhood friendships!

WHY IS THIS PROGRAM/INITIATIVE IMPORTANT?

All Pro Dad, OCPS ACE Chapter is extremely important because it provides safe spaces for fathers to receive guidance and opportunities to engage in their student’s lives in a profound capacity. All Pro Dad focuses on strengthening relationships between fathers and their children; this is impactful for students to experience academically, socially, and mentally.

WHAT GAP WOULD EXIST WITHOUT YOUR PROGRAM/INITIATIVE?

Without All Pro Dad, OCPS ACE Chapter, OCPS ACE fathers would not have an opportunity to build or strengthen their relationships with their children and other fathers utilizing specific curriculum and activities that emphasizes fatherhood, children development, and academics.

HOW DOES YOUR PROGRAM/INITIATIVE SUPPORT COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS IN PARRAMORE?

All Pro Dad, OCPS ACE Chapter supports college and career readiness in Parramore by creating partnerships that directly focuses on college preparation and career driven opportunities.

Bradley Dorvilus, the Parent and Community Engagement Coordinator for PEID at the University of Central Florida, has played an imperative role in providing vital information for college and career advancement to our All Pro Dad families and Parramore community. He has been able to provide information during the All Pro Dad segments and while promoting All Pro Dad during parent pickup at OCPS ACE.

All Pro Dad has also utilized the fathers that attend All Pro Dad segments. Mr. McCoy, a business owner and an OCPS ACE father, has joined forces with the All Pro Dad Strategic Planning committee to promote and offer opportunities for entrepreneurship to All Pro Dad families.
